I will deign to reply even though you don't like my hero.
Anybody else interested in writing about Paridon? What about you, Des, or did you have another city in mind that you'd like to see covered?

To that Paridon gaz:
As to the City Maps: Apart from that *poor* maps in the gazs, and some much better maps in the QtRs, aren't there detailed city maps for some of the core's cities? - I personally would like to see some Barovian ones.

I personally would have liked to see some Barovian ones, as I said. - A city where one can really play more that one plot out - village Barovia is just too small for that.Llana wrote: Anybody else interested in writing about Paridon? Personally, my favourite would be Zeidenburg... But really, there aren't any *neat* detailled city maps for RL, except Necropolis, and that one isn't really fit for a *normal* city campaign - am I right?

As I may have mentioned before, I am a drooling slut for anything Paridon, and would like to contribute. I found Blackmoor's material very interesting, and knowing that Cabbage and Llana are down with Paridon, well, sign me up is what I'm basically saying.Llana wrote:I will design to reply even though you don't like my hero.

The character I'm currently playing is from Paridon, and while the adventures take part outside Zherisia, I have written the recaps from our sessions in the form of memoirs, and they contain some of "made up" details about secret societies and such that you guys might find useful.
As I said, put me in coach!

Yeah, me too! For what am I an English teacher, after all? -Singing the ABC song with usual 5th-graders isn't really a fulfilling task...The Giamarga wrote:William, that look slike excellent work. Would you mind doing a little formatting in the post? (i.e. no new lines after each sentence?)

I always enjoyed Shining Bay. It was one of the first projects I contributed to online and I spent ages giving out ideas and suggestions to ScS over the cluster. The QtR netbook featuring the Bay has my first online Ravenloft contributions. So I have a soft spot for it despite, in the end, Stephen ignoring each and every one of my ideas.William Blackmoor wrote:Shining Bay was a little bit to much for my taste but a well done article. My favourite bit is the Dread Possibility Steam Age, with the cultural advances and the inclusion of Nosos- thanks again ScS for that article on the Shining Bay! I also couldn't help but think of Feet of Clay when the golems were mentioned.![]()
Actually, when I first proposed moving the FoS, I suggested Shining Bay as it was a location we could detail and make our own, as we half-invented it. Instead we went with Souragne.
But anything that is good for Paridon is good for e-Paridon.

Poor you! What kind of ideas did you bring up, David? I'm curious now.David of the FoS wrote: I always enjoyed Shining Bay. Oh god, that would have been so cool! Agh, so close!Actually, when I first proposed moving the FoS, I suggested Shining Bay as it was a location we could detail and make our own, as we half-invented it. Instead we went with Souragne.

(Not that I regret Souragne: I am very glad an off-Core location was chosen, and am looking forward to seeing the coming Gazetteer)

Honestly, I can't remember most of them now.
The one I did fight for the most was to keep the cities close. Having the three capitals spread apart never worked for me. I thought it would be interesting if Paridon and Nosos were side by side forming a single Metropolis.
I used the New York example where it was one city seperated by river with the two banks and an island. I thought it would be interesting if the river was the cluster's domain border seperating the domains/buroughs.
I think I proposed that Nosos would make a great slums/industrial section where all the people worked while Paridon would be the Manhattan where people lived and shopped and the rich played. Timor would be the sewer system underneath both and a slummy island off to the side where the poorest of the poor lived.
