I'm not sure what to put as my vote. I originally posted when there was merely a Ravenloft Mailing List, before Stu had the website. I want to say I started mid-to-late 1996. Back then I was posting under the username "Happy Jack" and I can't recall actually posting any decent ideas to the list (outside of helping Mangrum figure out what Ankhtepot's name meant, as he'd picked up a copy of On Going Forth By Day but was having trouble figuring out how to break it into what we later tried as "ankh-tep-ot" after thinking of the "tep" in "Imhotep"). In my defense, I was 16.
Anyway, I'm not sure how to vote as I started posting in 1996, watched that until about 1998, when I stopped doing D&D at all, and then stepped away from Ravenloft for several years, believing it dead with the switch to 3.0 D&D. With that announcement, I stopped roleplaying altogether and stopped paying attention. 2003 rolls around and some friends push me back into D&D and I finally pick up the v3.5 books. Early 2005, I finally run across someone who blinks in amazement as I tell him that I still mourned my lost Ravenloft, as he'd known that White Wolf picked it up years and years beforehand while I'd just given it up for dead... I picked up the Ravenloft Players Handbook and Gazetteers 1, 2 and 3 to flesh out a character for a short-lived, three week game. When it died, I'd still not read the books, nor would I until November of 2005 when I noticed them out of the corner of my eye and finally gave them a chance. I've spent the last few months reading nothing but Ravenloft books, and now I regret not having gotten back into it sooner... And hence I'm here, so that I don't miss Ravenloft coming back from the grave the next time around.
So, outside of a generally boring post, what would you call that?
