First time in Ravenloft

Post by Bookwolf »

I'm a first-time Ravenloft DM (actually, first-time DM period) and I've got a question about fan-made adventures.

I've got a nice little campaign lined up, but I'm finding that it's rather linear, and thus I'd like to add a few side quests. For this purpose, I was hoping to find a few short fan-made adventures. Can anyone recommend a place to find some good ones, or would I just be better off running old 2nd edition canon adventures and coming up with (or finding) a conversion?

Thank you!

There's CotN: Demons at www.kargatane.com as well as the Forgotten Children.

Nine of Hearts is avaliable here in the Library. I haven't ran it yet, but it seems fun.

Well, I had a look at the Kargatane ones, and CoTN: Demons is a Demons sourcebook, while the other one looks rather interesting. As for Nine of Hearts, I've had a read over it before, and had completely forgotten about it! Indeed it looks like a fun adventure to run.

Thanks!

Hey, welcome.

The Vault section of the site will give you adventure hooks for many domains; and the Mausoleum offers the list of fan-made articles, with the sources. In this, there are many adventures also.

If you're not above spending a little cash and doing some conversion, check out paizo.com. You can get most of the 2nd Edition Ravenloft books there four 4 dollars apiece. Also, WotC has some of the old Ad&D Ravenloft adventures available for download.

I know how you feel. I'm a first time Ravenloft/first time DM my own self. :D

Edited by Joël: recommendations of P2P illegal free download sites is strictly forbidden here.

Whoever get the royalties doesn't matter at all (and you are all wrong on this question, anyway  ). The writers are paid a one-time fee to write the books.

Ah, sorry about that. Perhaps I should re-familiarize myself with the rules... Thank you for removing that, then!
