Last night, we had a dull red full moon. Did anyone else see it?
Also, I have the DVD for BlackHawk Down and was watching the extras last night. In one they mentioned the code name of the ranger's mission was "Gothic Serpent."

Wow, those thoughts are certainly.... random.
A red moon is a nice bit of flavour to eb used to add apprehension to a session. It can be used at moments of high drama, or, infrequently, just to mess with the players' heads.
For example, when they go out to the stables, tell them that the moon is red. Then they'll jump at the mereest hint of movement in the underbrush.
