There is a small creature in my home
I first saw it here late last week, and I have not slept through the night since. The creature's tiny screams wake me several times from dusk through the dawn and beyond. In the night, as it wails, I ponder what it might want of me, what I can do to stop that eldritch moaning. I am sure it has not lived in our world for very long, but comes from elsewhere. It is small, yet eerily human. Sometimes you can see where it's been by the unearthly ooze it leaves behind. I see its grasping fingers and tiny eyes in my mind wherever I look. At times when I gaze upon its visage, I see it shift before my eyes to appear like the face of my wife, or stranger still, my own. You may think me mad to hear me describe such a fantastical creature, but I assure you it is real, and it is my fate to live with it and whatever brethren it calls to our world to join it for nearly a score of years. Even when it moves on to haunt somewhere else, it shall always remain within my soul....
In other words... my daughter was born last Wednesday night.
So you won't see much of me for a little while. Take care, and mind the mists...
In other words... my daughter was born last Wednesday night.

I'm tempted to sticky this thread, just so we can preserve it for posterity and direct Gonzoron's daughter to read it, once she's old enough to be really embarassed by her dad's jokes....
Congratulations! Seems like the rugrats are swarming lately, there's so many second-generation Ravenlofters being announced on these boards.
