Indeed welcome back
I have all of Stuart's campaign, including DM comments and the 3 sessions posted on the K message board. It's a large 200+ pages Word document.
Let me format it a little and it will be on the site soon.
Regards,
Joël

You sneaky little thing you. You never said a word while we were all dashing around trying to fit the missing peices together.

I hate it when the IA does that. Those BAM!s always scare the crap out of me.

What type of file is Inheritances.tgz ???
When i open it with word, notepad and excel its all wonky symbols or missing characters... could you repost this in a similar format to the other two files?
I guess it's a bit beyond the point now, since the whole existing campaign is now available in a convenient format, but just for completeness, .tgz is a compressed format, .tar + .zip very common in Unix. However, WinRar knows it and can decompress it easily. Barred that, you should use a tar tool, but while that is common in Unix, I think it's a bit harder to find for Windows.

I know I'm too late with this, but I also want to express my joy at seing Stu once again in these boards and my thanks for his campaign. I just hope he'll be able to give us the rest for he has watered our appetite many times, with his dropping of names of future sessions, things that will be solved only near the end and so forth.
I really wish you good luck in whatever you're doing now, Stu, and happy gaming if you still play. Welcome back.

Well, I've read Stu's campaign in full, the one available here from the site. And I tell you, I really am salivating for the rest and to know where all those threads will end. So, we're in the middle of the GC. Still 3 more signs to pass, still the Grim Harvest to pass. Still a lot to come. But I have one question: will the GC and the GH happen just one after the other? Is Azalin trying to activate teh Doomsday Device at the same time the Conjunction comes to pass?

I'd like to take the moment to thank Stu for his campaign journals.
I find them honestly inspirational in the way that they portray Ravenloft in a manner that is far more internally consistent and intriguing than most of the other games. I was curious honestly though, did you ever finish this campaign and also would you be interested in doing write ups for the characters? Stats and so on?
I think they'd make wonderful NPCs.

Hi all,
Willow hugger, I agree completely with you. I read this campaign journal a long time ago when it was still posted on the kargatane boards and it inspired me too. I also really liked mad step dad's campaign.

Thanks for the kind comments - it's great that people have found it useful.
To answer a couple of questions (including older ones I'd missed):
* Regarding the Grand Conjunction and Grim Harvest: IMC, I'd essentially combined the two into one big event, taking my favourite aspects of each. I liked the hexad, and travelling back to Castle Ravenloft (i.e. From the Shadows), but didn't like Roots of Evil. I liked the idea of Azalin gathering life energy to power his machine, but not the implementation of the idea. I liked parts of Death Ascendant, but didn't like Death Unchained. So I basically mixed and matched until I got something I liked the look of. In this version, Azalin's essentially heading towards one goal, but with two components - the hexad to weaken the borders of Ravenloft, and the harvest to power Azalin's transformation to take advantage of that weakness.
* Yes, the campaign finished - in early 1999. (Yes, that long ago - it ran for about 3 years.) It was the first roleplaying campaign I've ever been in that actually finished (i.e. that actually ended at a planned point, rather than just losing steam when people lost interest). A year or two later, we had a short "15 years later" bunch of sessions where I ran Bleak House.
The player that wrote the journals of Caine still intends to finish them one day - I've got his piles of handwritten notes from each session sitting on my shelf - but I wouldn't hold your breath....
