Ok: using Dark Knowledge: Tactics on the group. Essentially, I relate information about the Druagr, and because I do so the group gets a bonus to hit the monster based on the success of the roll. The base DC is 15. With that or better everybody gets +1 to hit. If I rolled high enough to get to a 25, then it jumps up to a +2.

I fire my crossbow at Pierre.

Bad news, the druagr drained Sir Cirdan, and wounded him with it's attack. He takes 7 hp damage and gains a negative level immediately.

-1 on all skill checks and ability checks.
-1 on attack rolls and saving throws.
-5 hit points.
-1 effective level (whenever the creature’s level is used in a die roll or calculation, reduce it by one for each negative level).
If the victim casts spells, she loses access to one spell as if she had cast her highest-level, currently available spell. (If she has more than one spell at her highest level, she chooses which she loses.) In addition, when she next prepares spells or regains spell slots, she gets one less spell slot at her highest spell level.

Good news : Benn's dark lore is good- he and his allies gain the full +2 bonus for this fight.

Kinda Bad News: Baddies now have initiative [I rolled for everyone.

Oh, massive physical damage, fire, and magic should all work. Blunt force or cleaving attacks work better than stabbing or shooting, generally. The monster doesn't bleed, has no vital functions that can be easily disrupted, etc. Hacking the druagr to pieces and burning the remains to ashes usually does the trick. Sneaking up behind it and stabbing it is definitely NOT recommended.

A cleric might be able to repel a draugr using the power of his faith- but that's not something to be relied upon [obviously!].

The two thugs able to walk/run will flee. Of course, they are actually going after all the PCs[ except Benn]. I imagine the party will be concentrating it's efforts on the druagr.


Note: the third thug is too badly injured to flee, and is just laying on the ground, monaing piteously and making a feeble attempt to crawl to saftety. He's moving very slowly.

Cirdan's hit looks to have damaged the creature. Of course, it's hard to tell how badly damaged it really is, as it shows no pain and does not bleed.

Dorgio will be able to guess that fire will probably burn the thing at least as well as it burns a living human.
