The Book Wot I Wrote...

Post by Carrion Crow »

As I usually lurk and post on the main Ravenloft forum, I've not really explored this partcicular forum, so when I noted that others were making people aware of stuff they've published, I thought I'd post a little link to the book wot I wrote...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/CrowNomancer-J ... 129&sr=1-1

Blurb from the back cover:

"Alexander Crowe has a problem.

He has just woken up to find that his consciousness has apparently been thrust back in time to occupy his own teenaged body.

But it is a past he neither recognises nor remembers, for in the world he finds himself, magic is not only real, but has replaced technology as the dominant axiom.

Enrolled at the prestigious Oakdene College of Magic, he soon discovers he has been sent back for a reason - he must somehow prevent an insidious plot to overwrite reality which will wipe all magic from existence, whilst maintaing the ruse that he is nothing more than a talented young wizard.

To say he's not entirely happy about the whole thing would be an understatement..."

I generally describe it as Harry Potter for adults, with a dash of Back to the Future. Other comments made by the tiny readeship (so far) were "a triumph," "I liked the cat" and "I can't believe you wrote this."

One of my online gaming buddies (who my ex-wife dismissed as "your geeky online pretend friend" - which she meant as an insult, but I now want printed on a t-shirt to proudly wear) has told me that some of the ideas in the book he will be stealing for his TTRPG, as he thought they were very cool, which I consider a big tick in my favour.

Available an ebook or a print on demand from Amazon (as it is effectively self-published), but you can actually read the first couple of chapters for FREE on their website by selecting the preview option, so at least you can find out whether it's your cup of tea. And full disclosure - I did use Starry AI to generate the cover, as whilst my writing skills are pretty good, I suck at drawing.
