Rob Zombie Sorta Remakes Halloween

..pretty much what the topic title says. It's not simply 'Halloween 9: The Revenge of the Return of the Ressurection of Micheal Myers', but intended to be a prequel/remake of John Carpenter's original slasher movie, hopefully fairly respesctful of the original...

Hm, Tyler Mane as Micheal... dunno. He'll be huge of course and physically imposing, and he played a great Sabretooth in X-Men, but Micheal's murderous slashy-ness is of quite a different variety. Plus, Micheal is almost always wearing his mask and has no dialogue.

At least Malcolm McDowell as Dr Loomis is a big plus.

This piece of casting is the only thing that makes me optimistic about the Halloween remake. While I know Zombie's a horror film buff, let's hope he recognizes what makes the original work so well.

As for Gerard Butler ("300") as Snake Plissken in the Escape From New York remake that's in the works, I'm far more skeptical.

I am still looking forward to this greatly. Rob Zombie makes pretty good movies and I am interested to see how the music is handled.
