The RLCS was published in 2001, and was set in 755 BC.alhoon wrote:Happy new year! What year is it again in BC?
8 years later, that would put us in 763 in game.

Have a good 763, everybody! Lots of good things!
Peace on Earth in 2009, but hopefully not in the Core in 763!
Let's see this place as active as ever!

Happy New Year, everybody! And in the spirit of RL, I'm reminded of a short story I read back in high school: The story revolves a doctor at a New Year's Eve party with his expectant wife. The doctor receives an emergency call and responds. The emergency in question is an old man. As the minutes tick away to midnight, the old man relates his life story to the doctor. It turns out that the old man isn't even a year old and relates this fact and the problems he had "growing up." The old man finishes his tale and expires at the final stroke of midnight. The doctor returns to the party only to find that it had moved to the hospital when his wife had gone into labor.
