Mentioned in the Ravenloft Dominion novel Heaven's Bones, the Vadoma tribe is a group of Vistani that (at least formerly) lived in Kartakass and broke horses for Harkon Lukas. They have a few uncommon practices such as cremation of the deceased and (much more rarely and importantly) tolerance of male Vistani for the Sight, until Tibor Vadoma betrayed the tribe with a ritual designed to give him powers to travel through the Mists to other worlds. He attempted to take his sister Jaelle Vadoma with him. However, she Saw the suffering he would have caused if he escaped and stabbed him in the gut. He stabbed her back. As the Mists engulfed them, the rest of the tribe cursed him and cast him out, taking away his name and rendering him a disembodied spirit for a time, though he would become whole again and wreak havoc on Earth.
Jaelle was delivered to Cornwall, England, where she was found by Jory Penhallow. They eventually married and sired many descendants, known collectively as Jaelle's Breed or the Children of Jaelle, whom inherited some of Jaelle's gifts despite only having some Vistani heritage. However, these blessings were also partially a curse, both for the complications they caused in life and for their targeting by [[Trueblood] for extermination.
