First mentioned by name in Quoth the Raven Issue 29; Secrets of Freedom.

Origins

Schloss von Brandthofen is a formerly nameless and abandoned keep on the shore of Lamordia near Leidenheim. It was already uninhabited when Lamordia first appeared in the Core.

History

Schloss von Brandthofen was named by Amourette Schlosser when she appropriated it as a base in which to treat the injured Mu. More than likely, this was a sneer at Victor Mordenheim, as the crumbling keep now carries his wife's maiden name. Once the scholar from Gothic Earth was sufficiently recovered, it became the site for research and experimentation that resulted in the birth of the World Engine.

Dangers

Schloss von Brandthofen still contains an incomplete account of the research that culminated in the World Engine, somehow stored in the castle's very brickwork. Anyone with the necessary intellect and determination could peruse its data.
