The pier of Craven Cove reaches a hundred feet above the sea. Its wood planks are heavily decayed and weathered, and walking on them carries the risk of the boards giving under one's feet. Giant sharks lurk below for the unwary. Despite its rotted state, the Pier is still in use by fishers.[1]
