Anya Duchku is a sorceress of the Radiant Tower, the younger sister of the late Tsarina Duchku. She was one of the Tower's rising stars until February 9th (765 BC), when Drakov declared all women in the military to be members of Kara's Daughters. ...With this edict, Anya and many other prior military women dropped two ranks overnight. Anya's sole consolation was that with her sister's ranking in Kara's Daughters, she could usually pick her assignment. With her sister slain on Census Day, Anya has emerged to receive her new assignment from her erstwhile sisters.[1]
