A special spellbook devised by Azalin to assist in the Grim Harvest.

Appearance

24"x16"x4", of black metal bound in beaten gold and embossed with hourglasses, skulls, daggers, scythes and other grim symbols, elegantly wrought. Though made of gold, the skulls feel like bone, and the weapons are sharp enough to cut. On the cover is Azalin's fiery eye symbol, inlaid in rubies. The book is cold to the touch most of the time, but grows warm when storing life energy (see below).

History

The Book of the Requiem was constructed to help Azalin expedite the Grim Harvest by delegating parts of it to Kargat, Ebon Fold and Eternal Order agents. Some claim that several copies were made, but considering the expense and time commitments, it is more likely that a single copy was passed around. It was seen at every step of the Grim Harvest, until it was spotted being carried out of Il Aluk after the Requiem by a cloaked figure.
