The Age of the Man God sees the long accepted limits of the possible rolled back. Genetic manipulation is a boundless field of exploration with innumberable concrete applications. Life itself can be birthed in an advanced chemical laboratory. Living constructs are commonplace as are thinking machines. Brain transplantation is no longer the stuff of mad science. Indeed the very notion of mad science ceases to be a viable concept. All but the greatest or most peculiar accomplishments of magic can be replicated by science through the deployment of technology, although not necessarily as economically let alone as portably. Atheism experiences a renaissance. Ethical questions abound and are, for the most part, ignored.
