The Company of the Dance is a Transylvanian secret society of mystics who preserve the dance rituals as means of exorcism against rusalii spirits.^[1]

The Company of the Dance faced a nigh crippling blow it is still recovering from 50 years later (as of 1899). In 1849 at the Citadel of the Djinn, a number of the Company fell into a trap laid by a minion of the Red Death involving an impossible exorcism. Several members were killed or wounded.^[2]
