The curupira is a monster from Tsuu-Y-Teke. Though a curupira would have others believe it was a deity, it is "merely" a malicious, shapechanging creature with a resemblance to a giant tortoise in its natural form. The doctrine of curupira led religion preaches the righteousness of reptiles, a sort of "survival of the fittest" philosophical approach to druidism, and the destruction of the Inan.^[1]
