Like their smaller kindred, giant leeches rely upon the cover of murky water or mud to catch prey of guard. Their bites administer an anesthesia which allow the to suck blood for a time before being caught. Their bite carries the disease red ache.[1] Giant leeches can be encountered in the swamps of Lamordia, particularly on the peninsula of the Isle of Agony.[2] They can also be encountered in Sri Raji, [3]
and Graben Island[4].
