Hounds of Zhakata are mastiff-sized dogs bred by the priests of The Devourer. They have desert tan hides dappled with darker spots. Their fur is black, bristly, and sparse. They have an excellent sense of smell, and so they are used both as watch dogs and for tracking prey. They are very aggressive, known among the priests for turning on their handlers. Sometimes after dying they reanimate as ghouls.^[1]
