Strahd zombies are a particular form of zombie, created by Strahd von Zarovich, and hence, found mostly in Barovia.^[1][2] They are stronger than most zombies and have the ability to continue fighting even when dismembered.

Strahd zombies can also be found in in the Shadow Rift, specifically the Darkenheights, as part of the saugh.^[3] It is unknown if Prince Loht stole knowledge of their creation from Strahd von Zarovich or somehow arrived upon it independently.
