Vilay are considered the dryad equivalent of the Arak. They seduce attractive mortals of both sexes into falling in love with them, before extracting their souls as besotted ghosts to amass a harem of spectral lovers. They rarely produce changelings as a result. The bodies of those who souls they steal are destroyed, save for the skull, which is transmuted into solid crystal; a vilay's collection of crystal skulls is its most precious belonging. They are imitated by the fanggen, and are mortal enemies of the schattenziege. Note that the vilay was never updated to 3rd Edition. Henceforth, any creature types below are speculative.
