Nope, it's correct, at least according to The Created.. p27 "Maligno is a type of doll golem called a carrionette", p32 "In Ravenloft, Guiseppe is the only dollmaker that can animate carionettes... I believe, by memory so this could be wrong, that they get revisited in the 3.0 Denizens of Dread as constructs without reference to doll golems. If so, how do you want play it?Cure 06:11, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

You are correct, (and it's not mentioned in 2e's RLMCIII either, which postdates The Created) but there's no real rules implication if they are a golem or not, it's mainly fluff, as far as I know. And since the 2e MC's were way more verbose one the fluff side than the 3.x Denizens books, there are lots of details from 2e that were left out in 3e in many critters. I don't think that necessarily invalidates those details. Bottom line, we have a source that says they are, and no source that explicitly says they aren't, except by omission.
