Dean Garvin was the brother of Betty Garvin and son of Jacob Garvin and Matilda Garvin. They lived on the Garvin Farm outside of Valden in Mordent. Dean helped his father make the Jacob Garvin Scarecrow, but the entire family (save for Betty) were slain by the Jacob Garvin Scarecrow. [1]
