Dora (Dog)

In Mordenheim's recollection of his youth, Dora was the hunting dog dog of Victor Mordenheim's father. After the animal became pregnant, young Mordenheim drugged her with wine and cut her open to look at the pups. The dog nearly bit off Victor's ear in return but survived without bad injury. In return for Victor's promise never to operate on Dora again, Victor's father agreed to Victor's education as a physician. Given how long ago Victor's youth was, Dora is probably deceased.
