Erik Altermount is the second president of the domain Conquista. He was elected in 715 BC, following on the retirement of Hoyt Gunterbull. He was elected as the representative of the political party Prosperidad, and is known for having redesigned the nation's education system so as to edge out the first incarnation of los Viejos Sagrados. He retired in 719 BC to a palatial villa paid for by the taxpayers.
Altermount is best remembered for having designed an educational system that served not to help people grow and improve, but to grind them down into the roles required by society, and for having weathered the Rat Plague of 718 BC (by blaming the fur-trappers and farmers who denuded the nation's fox population). His rule also saw an uptick in the nation's food production in both the north and middle cantóns.
Altermount was succeeded as president by Leroy Foxskinner.
