Felauragoth the Devourer

Felauragoth the Devourer appears to be an ugly, unwieldy, and overly large sword that has been worn to the point of bluntness. However, this dull appearance belies both its powerful magical nature and the malignant evil that lies within the blade. Its decorative sigils are much more indicative of its unholy nature.[1]

Felauragoth has the power to gorge itself on those it slays (effectively inflicting energy drain on those it strikes down or achieves critical hits on). The soul energy is stored within the blade and used to make it stronger. A wielder can use this energy to heal himself, but the wielder runs the risk of contracting madness or corruption for as long as she carries it. In addition, the blade has an entirely evil and insane intelligence inside of it that forms from a composite of the tormented souls inside of it. The wielder is most subject to domination by Felauragoth when it is either starving or full with energy.[2]

Babette l’Jeunese is attempting to track it down and destroy it, though she knows not the means of destruction.[3] It was originally bequeathed upon her by the Lady of Ravens. However, Babette at first abandoned it. When went back to find it, it was missing.[4]
