Francois Mousel (b. 699 BC) is the son of Bernadette d'Honaire and Hugues Mousel, the grandson of Germain d'Honaire and Alicia Corgiat d'Honaire, and the brother of Madeleine Mousel. He married Joelle Fontaine. Joelle gave birth to their first child in 721 BC.[1] They named him James Mousel.[2]

In 707 BC, after the rest of the D'Honaire family migrated to Dementlieu, Bernadette and Hugues returned to Mordentshire and claimed the old d'Honaire family mansion, where Bernadette brought Hala's wisdom to her father's work. Bernadette ultimately bestowed the mansion to their son Francois Mousel in 720 BC. Francois subsequently refurbished it into the Mousel Sanitarium for Mental Health.[3]

Following Gerard d'Honaire's visit to the Mousels, Dominic d'Honaire sent assassins to dispatch the rogue branch of the d'Honaire family. Francois survived thanks to the timely intervention of his son James Mousel, but Hugues and Bernadette both met their demise.[4] The emotional fall-out of the attack left James very hostile to Maurice d'Honaire, whom he believed arranged the assassination attempts as revenge for the defiance of Dr. Germain d'Honaire. His resentment was also extended to the other Dementlieuse d'Honaires.

At the Mousel Sanitarium, Francois and his son James Mousel developed the Analytical Method for treating madness. By 752 BC. the Mousel Sanitarium is known for being among the best mental health treatment facilities in the Core.[4]
