The captain of Luck of the Goddess when it passed through the Emerald Stream. He adheres to the school of thought which believes foreigners can understand Mordentish phrases better when those phrases are repeated more loudly. Fortunately though, Wells' first mate was Hollie "Holland" Armstrong, who proved considerably more skilled at diplomacy.
