The captain of Luck of the Goddess when it passed through the Emerald Stream. He adheres to the school of thought which believes foreigners can understand foreign languages better if only they are repeated more loudly. Fortunately though, Wells' first mate was Hollie "Holland" Armstrong, who proved considerably more skilled at diplomacy.
