- 575 BC Arak (Domain) forms as the shadow fey escape the Plane of Shadow and Gwydion is locked in the Obsidian Gate.
- 588 BC Loht commands the staking Tristessa and her baby to Mount Lament and leaves them to die in the sun. Tristessa screams a dying curse, bringing about the Scourge of Arak. Keening forms.[12]
- 743 BC Unwald Rottennail's Invasion A force of Darkonians marches upon Keening with intent on wiping out Marbh-Cathair. They are all massacred save for Unwald Rottennail. He goes mad and takes up residence in Marbh-Cathair.[13]
- 751 BC Loht meets with Tristessa at the Temple of Lolth, deceptively exchanging the Eye of Vhaeraun for the Sword of Arak.[14]
- 758 BC "S" visits Keening, taking a baby for Tristessa in exchange for safe passage. She enters the caves beneath Mount Lament and encounters Rutternettle. She flees from the horrid laughter and keening from Tristessa but somehow makes it out alive.[15]
