Kurkva is one of the Loa of Souragne[1]. He is the Loa of the rain, the clouds, the open sky and all manner of weather. The wind, the rain and thunder, which he directs where the natural balance requires them, are an expression of his grief; Kurkva was wed to the Loa of the earth, but she splintered into numerous lesser Loa, like the Maiden of the Swamp.
