Nazaris Verret

Nazaris Verret was a plantation owner in Souragne. He impregnated a servant girl named Marguerite under a massive black willow tree. He would later murder her to protect his reputation. Curiously, the matter did not end there. He became remorseful for his transgressions and took his own life by hanging himself from the tree. Over the course of a single year his plantation sank into the swamp forming an island known as The Black Willow.
