Order of Alchemical Mysteries

The alchemists of Sanguinia call themselves the Order of Alchemical Mysteries. They meet annually over the three days when True Spring becomes True Summer, each hoping to glean new secrets without revealing any of their own.

The Order of Alchemical Mysteries has four leaders: The Master of Melanozza (who wears black to identify with the humor called "black bile"), the Master of Leucoza (who wears white for phlegm), the Master of Xantoza (yellow, yellow bile), and the Master of Ioza (red, blood). These leaders are mere figureheads, chosen not for any actual leadership capability or alchemical skill but mostly because they want most to be called Master.

Prince Ladislav Mircea belongs to the Order, primarily to gain access to alchemical reagents common across the land but not readily accessible to the reclusive prince. His membership is not known, although some of the alchemists have their suspicions.
