Appearance
Paloma's poetry journal is a slender-looking book with lineated pages, such as can be purchased at any stationery shop in Paridon. Over half the pages have been filled with small, almost cramped writing in Zherisian.
Background
This is a poetry journal[1] that is being kept by the Dread Doppelganger who identifies as Paloma. During the time Paloma was kept in isolation so she could brew Emotional Purgatives for her Clan, she hid this slender volume under the floorboards of her bedroom - a chamber that should have been wholly useless to a Dread Doppelganger, as they do not normally need sleep. Instead, it seems likely that she spent most of her time in the bedroom seated on the bed, writing in her journal. When Paloma ultimately decided to abandon her Clan, this journal was the only thing she wanted to take for its meaning to herself.
Contents
What makes Paloma's journal so interesting is that it contains her ruminations on her daily experiences - as a Dread Doppelganger.
Presumably, since her human birth family was quite poor, Paloma did not acquire and start writing in her journal until after her Change. As such, it contains an insider account of life among a Dread Doppelganger Clan and its various crimes, Paloma's meditations on both the Divinity of Mankind and Divinity of the Masters, and her impressions of Alchemical Philosophy. As she also wrote down her perceptions of the sapient species of Paridon in the journal, and her thoughts on their strengths and weaknesses, the poetry journal could serve as a primer on the Divinity in All.
