Pedrolina

Pedrolina is a Pierrobit, first mentioned in the article "Little Horrors" in Quoth the Raven Issue 31.

Background

Pedrolina was in Madego during the 740 BC Night of Music that ended the Great Upheaval in that domain. Before the Night of Music, she existed in a haze as she was forced to play the role of various monsters and mindlessly copy the actions of creatures in the Lands Above. When Lupta's dance freed all the inhabitants of Madego from the compulsion to mimic the beings Above, Pedrolina was elated. She was finally free to indulge her vanity by playing the role of beautiful beings, rather than hideous monsters - the roles she wanted to play, rather than ones forced on her by unseen puppetmasters.

Pedrolina became well-known as an actress, a comedienne and a virtuoso with the lute ... and then she witnessed a Bard she knew try to walk out of Madego and into the Mists when Wudr had closed the borders. Horrified by the sight of an acquaintance dwindle into nothing, Pedrolina found herself unable to determine what had happened.

Current Sketch

Pedrolina has gone from touring to mostly staying in Karina in Madego's Invidia province. She still performs, but more often she teaches. During her downtime, she studies weighty tomes of occult lore and corresponds with scholars all over the Core provinces. Her alignment has shifted from her original Chaotic Evil to Chaotic Neutral, but she still has contacts with unreformed Pierrobit and some very evil Chi-Folken.

Lair

Pedrolina lives in a pleasant, two-storey house in Karina with an attached dance studio on the ground floor. The ground floor is dedicated to her art; the second storey contains her bedroom, bathroom and wardrobe, but more importantly it contains a fairly impressive collection of books. Word has already gotten out that people who try to steal from Pedrolina's collection are not long for this world; she frequently entertains guests who are willing to do unspeakable things to intruders and thieves to make her happy.

Phylactery

Pedrolina's phylactery is her masterwork lute. She keeps it near her at all times, even when performing in roles that should not have such an instrument with them. This means that she has a clear "tell" when in disguise.
