Pradmapura is a village near Pakat. Nearly all saffron in Sri Raji is grown there.[1]
Pradmapura has entered an exclusive agreement with the East Rajian Trading Company, which means that saffron is not available in the Spice Market of Pakat. The people of Pradmapura and the Easties have both benefitted from the price hikes which this scarcity has allowed. However, Jatayu Panda has insisted that armed men be posted to Pradmapura to safeguard the Easties' financial interests, and that has stirred some resentment among the Pradmapurans.[1]
