Taking place on the first new moon of January, Remembrance is a religious holiday observed by the Eternal Order as a celebration of the dead not returning to overtake the living and a warding against the dead returning in the next year. Remembrance also unofficially operates as a way to celebrate joy in the new year. However, with the coming of the Requiem, Remembrance has fallen out of popularity in some areas whereas in others it has become more secularized[1]
