Skeleton Lake

Skeleton Lake lies in the jungle south of Tvashti. The lake and its environs are strikingly beautiful and, at first glance, strikingly peaceful. However, the peace arises in large part because no wildlife, not even birds, dares to approach the lake. Closer inspection reveals that thousands of bones rest in the beautiful, peaceful waters of the lake.

As a dread possibility, Skeleton Lake may be sacred to the Ashvins, twin Rajian deities of healing. The lake's waters store the collective wisdom of all who rest within them, and anyone who drinks those waters may benefit from that wisdom. Of course, those who sample the wisdom of Skeleton Lake are also expected to return to its waters when they die.
