Spring Mourning

Although it represents a day of celebration and revelry for Gregor Zolnik and his Boyarsky, March 21st represents a day of significant loss for the people of Vorostokov, as it signifies the permanent departure of spring for their land as it is trapped in eternal winter. To make things worse, the festivities of Zolnik and his cronies often lead to nights of human hunting as Zolnik and his Boyars transform into werewolves. The commoners typically observe Spring Mourning by traveling to the graves of departed loved ones and planting seeds into their icy gardens, though these are token gestures without any true hope[1]
