The Cuckoo's Egg

In The Cuckoo's Egg dread possibility, Count Wilhelm von Lovenhorst's "disappearance" was part of an experiment to make one of the Fraternity of Shadows a darklord. The experiment seemingly failed, wiping out any seeming corruption that Count Wilhelm had suffered before and was seemingly unable to fail any more powers checks. The Fraternity interpreted this as the Dark Powers catching onto their scheme and now ignoring the Count. However, in truth, the Dark Powers have transformed the Count into their puppet and employ him to sabotage the Fraternity's efforts.
