Home to the grave elementals summoned from elsewhere in Ravenloft, The Domain of Grave is a massive (perhaps infinite?) network of graveyards and mausoleums. The lightless sky actually hints at the underground nature of this domain: for it is ground that lies above the Domain of Grave. As such, thee Dread Elemental Domain of Grave can theoretically be reached by deep spelunking of (rarely) simply digging a hole.[2]
In addition to grave elementals, ghouls and other undead wander this domain.[2] Adros Janol, the darklord of this domain, cannot seal the borderes, but only a few portals lead out of this domain.[1]
