The Episcopal Church of Curtea de Arges

The Episcopal Church is the heart of a monastery in Curtea de Arges.In the year of 1517 and the town of Curtea de Arges, Prince Neagoe Basarab commanded Manole to build it. Full of hubris, Manole swore its completion at any cost. From there, the fates of Manole and his wife, both sacrificed for the church's completion, are remembered in the Tale of the Master Builder.
