Virisa is a large island domain in the Sea of Sorrows, located about thirty miles to the south of Blaustein. The majority of the domain is plains, but there is a region of hills and two small streches of forest: the Forest of Screams and the Shifting Woods. Two communities of importance exist within the domain: The City of Virisa (its capital and largest city, pop. 11,000) and the much smaller Telgan (pop. 2,000).[5]
The people of this domain live in constant fear of being captured to become a meal for the cannibalistic Lord Willem Ducas and his supporters. He is served by the Disciples, a group of fanatically loyal guards and enforcers, comprised of first-born children taken from the citizenry.[4]
A rebellion is forming in Telgen. It is being led by Amelia Celane, a member of the Knights of the Shadows.[2]
Virisa was created by Alan LaFond.[6]
