Appearance

The Inverted Man is exactly what his name implies. His bone structure has been released from his body in certain places, leaving his skeleton to grow on the outside of his body, creating an exo-skeleton. The sight is quite grotesque, which is why The Inverted Man tries to keep himself heavily covered when not performing.

Background

Years ago, a carriage passing through Lamordia came upon a hulking beast in the middle of the road. The Creature immediately set upon the carriage, crushing it instantly, and then went about brutally attacking each of the passengers inside. The remains of the attack were found a few days later by a doctor who lived in a nearby estate. The carriage was completely beyond repair, and the passenger were in even worse condition. Some had been torn apart limb from limb, others crushed completely. In the wreckage, however, the doctor also found a survivor. His flesh had been ripped apart in various places, where the beast had pulled his skeleton through the skin, but somehow the man still breathed, but he was unconscious.
When the man awoke, he found himself in a laboratory, hooked up to various electrical devices. He could barely move and was unable to speak, and so he observed. What he observed horrified him. The doctor who had found him had managed to keep him alive, but had not re-inserted his skeleton. Instead, he had allowed the bones to grow on the outside. He was apparently the mad doctor's latest experiment, and the doctor used the knowledge he gained from keeping the man alive despite the huge wounds in his body, and applied them to aiding his comatose wife.
As time went on, The man began to regain feeling in his body, and eventually became able to move, though he did not allow the doctor to learn of this. The man began to build his strength, waiting for the moment when he would be able to escape from the doctor's ghastly estate. That oppurtunity came when, one night, the estate was attacked. In the confusion that followed, the man removed himself from the machines that held him bound to the cold metal table, and then ran. He didn't care where he went or how long he would survive, just as long as he never came into contact with Mordenheim again. His prayers were answered, and the man soon found himself in the domain of Necropolis, and in the middle of a carnival.
