The Shadowborn Cluster is a small cluster of domains that centers on the history of Lady Shadowborn, a famous paladin.
The domain is roughly split in two by the Theospine mountains. To the east lies Nidala, a domain ruled by an overzealous paladin, while the west of the domain is dominated by the Phantasmal forest. Within these spooky wildlands lay the domains of Shadowborn Manor and Avonleigh, both of which are inhospitable and very dangerous.

The map shown below is 'about 95% accurate' to the way the Kargat had the Shadowborn Cluster devised during the write-up of 'Domains of Dread.'

Assumptions and Added Details

This map of the Shadowborn Cluster was created by superimposing the existing map of Avonleigh (from Light in the Belfry) on the hithertoo unused wilderness section of the Nidala map (from Islands of Terror). Another part of this wilderness section was used to create the domain for Shadowborn manor, using information from the Shadowborn novel to add some interesting tidbits of info, such as the swamp and the monestary.

I deliberately chose for merging the domains with that of Nidala, as opposed to glueing them together. Not only does it give the map a more integerated feel, it also makes it easy to make a map in which the latter domains of Avonleigh and Shadowborn are hidden (the Player version of the map will only show Nidala domain).

I also added the circle of standing stones, used by the Knights of the Circle. While the circle is in the domain of Avonleigh, I assumed it would be close to the border of Shadowborn. This is due to the idea that the founder of the order, Alexi Shadowborn, might be unable to leave the Shadowborn domain due to the lingering presence of Ebonbane. Thus the circle is put at the border of the domain, on the edge of the cluster, far away from Nidala's darklord.
The villages of Drya, Ricochet and Oneire were made up to fill the otherwise empty landscape of Nidala.

This map is the first map to make use of the D&D map symbol set, as opposed to the default CC2 map symbols. The D&D symbols were created by Rob Lazzaretti for the D&D Core Rules CD-Rom.
I personally like these symbols for the archaic feel they give. I would like to hear your opinion on this.
