Salut Patrick,

Yes, these ideas could work too. I'm finishing Servants of Darkness in the next game Sunday, and after a small goblin hunt interval, they will tour the SR to stop Loht being an idiot. :)

I like emphasising the potential connection between Falkovnia and the Plane of Shadows (native monsters include shadows, greater shadows, shadow unicorns, shadow fiends, and several shadow fey; has the largest border with the Shadow Rift out of any domain; literally a headquarters of the Fraternity of Shadows), and one detail mentioned is the Shadow Cities, the idea that thieves and wizards can access a sort of hidden shadow-realm in Falkovnia. So what if they can?
What if the 'Shadow Cities' are infact gateways to the Shadow-Rift, accessible through certain points in Falkovnia?

WDYM by 'connection to the Plane of Shadows'?
Isn't Ravenloft as whole connected to it?

I suppose I mean 'has deeper connection to the Plane of Shadows', like how the ghostly-ness of Mordent gives it more connection to the Etheral Plane.

Makes sense.
