A defiler is one who practices or has practiced defilement, the act of removing the sacred or holy blessings put upon a person, place, or thing. Forcing access into a sealed burial ground, putrefying holy water, or corrupting an Innocent would exemplify acts of defilement. Desecrators take corruption a step forward and actually cause formerly holy objects and beings to become unclean and offensive in the face of their gods.[1]

For the Athasian magic user that powers his spells through savaging nature, see category:Defiler (Wizard)
