In Expedition to Castle Ravenloft, the Stifled Skull is a magic item formed from the skull of the deceased adventurer and undead hunter Dysania. It can be used to effect a Silence spell once per day. Alternatively, it can be used to create Wail of the Banshee but a single time, after which it crumbles away.[1]
