Irvyne Wolfe

Also known as The Red Wolf, Irvyne Wolfe (formerly Irvyne Oakheart) is the leader of a group of rebels in Nidala known as The Pack.

Background

One time believing her the beneficent paladin she claimed to be, Irvyne's hero worship detected as evil by Elena Faith-hold's false detect evil ability. Irvyne was imprisoned, tortured, and interrogated. Eventually he escaped and encountered the Knights of the Shadows. Greger, one of their number, trained Irvyne in combat and espionage. In turn, Irvyne went back to the fugitives he had escaped with and honed them them into a task force of resisters against Nidalan oppression. Along the way, Irvyne met and fell in love with an Barovian priestess named Nadia Wolfe. They later received a Vistani prophecy that seemingly indicated their child would overthroew Faith-hold's tyranny.

Creator Update

On a forum for another RPG, The Red Wolf's creator, Andy "Socko" Snow proposed an update to the characters history to include the eight years following the events documented in the netbook.

To improve the world his child would be born into, Irvyne increased his attacks on Elena Faith-hold, leading to the deaths of several of the original pack members. He backed off after this, until Nadia gave birth to a girl, who they named Kateri Wolfe. Then Elena's minions found The Pack and attacked, forcing them to flee.

For eight years, Irvyne has kept The Pack directed toward survival, avoiding direct action against Elena, lest she learn too much about his tactics. Kateri has grown happily, under the protection of her extended family, The Pack, and has not yes exhibited any unusual powers.
