The Wailing Maid was a small merchant vessel sailing between Martira Bay and Mordentshire. Dr. Rudolph van Richten confronted a bowlyn in her cargo not later than 736 BC and possibly no earlier than 727 BC. The fate of the creature and the vessel are unknown, although the good doctor manifestly survived.
